When you think of meditation, you may not be thinking along the lines of skin care and beauty. However, this is a very powerful tool in helping you to retain both youthful looking skin as well as a beautiful body inside and out. Meditation helps the body in so many ways and I refer to it as “calming your mind and being in the moment.” Meditation helps to relieve the stressors of your daily life and allows you to focus on what is most important – you. When you are truly free from stress, it shows in your whole body from the condition of your hair and skin to the physical shape of your body and internally, as well.
Ways Meditation can Help
- Release of pent up emotions and stress – stress is one of the top reasons why your skin loses its luster and vitality. Over time, experiencing high stress can cause your skin to develop chronic problems such as acne and swelling due to the increased visibility of your blood cells. When you meditate, you are pushing out all feelings of negativity. Get rid of the stress that you carry home from work and the demands that your life places on you. Simply focus on you and only you and how your quality of life is improved in just a few simple moments.
- Clarity and Focus – When you push everything else out of your mind, you often experience clarity like you never have before. Many people rely on meditation in moments of conflict, to help show them the right way. This is important in terms of caring for your body, because seeing clearly will remove any internal source of conflict that can cause external symptoms.
Meditation is not one of those things that comes with a set of instructions or a required daily allotment. You simply choose a time that is convenient for you, relax and let your mind be free. Making meditation a regular part of your life is one of the most beneficial ways you can help your skin and body, without spending any money at all. Try it and see how much improvement you notice, you will likely be quite surprised – in a good way.
More and more authoritative sources, including MSNBC’S Today show, Web MD, Medicine Net, Livestrong, and general health blogs online, are all saying one thing: losing weight fast, or choosing the route of the yo-yo diet, is not healthy. And that’s just not a general statement. Facts point to a dangerous cycle where women (and men) binge on weekends and starve themselves daily, resulting in organ, heart and skin damage to severe degrees.
As a skin expert, I can tell you that a yo-yo diet is one of the worst diets you could go on. Let’s look at the underlying problems and then the surface problem results in your skin. First, yo-yo dieting is considered an ugly cycle that is linked to health problems including hypertension, gall bladder disease, and high cholesterol. Today, heart disease is the number 1 silent killer of women, and if you are on a cycle of yo-yo dieting for five different times, your heart disease risk is greatly increased. Besides this, yo-yo dieting can damage your bone density, lead to kidney and liver failure, and cause essential vitamin and mineral body deficiencies.
The yo-yo diet, or losing weight fast, contributes not only to facial skin sagging, but the skin on your body as well. This is because this fast diet causes the skin to loosen while you’re losing weight only to be stretched again when you gain that weight back. The result is a sagging, drooping appearance in your skin.
You still want to lose weight, and you don’t want to take a year doing it, right? I highly suggest the healthy alternative route of an alkaline diet combined with my Glowing Skin Diet. This will not only improve your overall health and help you shed those pounds, but you’ll also be able to tighten skin on your face and body as well. No more sagging skin. You’ll look, feel and appear brighter, slimmer, healthier and prettier!
What is the Latest Beauty Trend? I get asked a lot – what’s the beauty trend all the celebs are doing?
What is the Latest Beauty Trend?
I get asked a lot – what’s the beauty trend all the celebs are doing?
I have to say, I simply don’t know. I really do not follow the must-have fad of the moment that typically involves crazy, not to mention expensive ingredients that prove to go nowhere.
Why, you ask?
The reason is simple: my trend is my skin fitness, not the skin treatment that is going to basically just tease the cells for a day. Sure most of my clients would say, I like to torture them on my table using all the crazy tools and ingredients but the end of the day they look healthier and younger for longer, which is what they are looking for. Would you rather have tough love that produces actual results, or a fu fu facial that does nothing in terms of longevity? The choice is yours.
Today’s trend is finding a long-term solution for the frownies you hate, sagging lower face, deep lines around the mouth region, loose neck, sun-damaged chest and aging eyes. In order to do this I have to apply my philosophy that is based on the four principles: Correct, Repair, Rejuvenate and Preserve.
My job is to find ways how to encourage cell renewals, repair damages below the skin, stimulate collagen to plump those lines, maintain the facial muscles foundation to support your face structure, how to feed the cells internally and externally for that glowing skin. I do tons of research on procedures that makes sense and that you can tolerate without surgery, because going under the knife is not what everyone wants.
I would also like for you to learn this mantra because you have to do the most part of it if you wish to look your best at any age.
I think these four principles go beyond the skin care. In life itself, you also need to correct your mistakes, repair loose ends, rejuvenate your daily lifestyle with what you love to do and preserve the results you have accomplished.
You are the trendsetter when you begin to work on what you, your body and skin need. Believe me, people will notice that you look great and have positive energy wherever you go.
Me? I’m just a tool to provide you what I can but do remember I am not a magician. Long-term results takes more than a day of renovation and that, my friends, is why I do not follow the new celebrity fads. They will soon be yesterday’s news, but my skin fitness program will be your key to lasting results.
